The end of all meeting

The end of all meeting.New short story that I which uses a quote from the Buddha. Set in a weird future where nano machines get spiritual.

Archive Fragments (first 30 pages)

Archive Fragments. One of the longest pieces I have written. This is a murder mystery set some vague time in the future. It's based in Merseyside (UK) and various other places I have worked.

The main protagonist has a personality that was constructed by having the memories of others forced into his head because of a crime he comitted. The story moves about from his wanderings to various points in history, trying to explain how he (and everyone else) got there and what happened to him. I think that this time would be an OK place to live because poverty has been eradicated, see what you think.

Be warned, the structure is a little hard to read at first because it moves around and I don't give the reader a lot of clues. A friend suggested that perhaps some change of font or whatever would help the narrative by giving the reader some guidance. I don't know, I like books that make me work a little. After saying this the writings of Odine (one of the revolution's non-leaders) are in italics at the beginning and end of each chapter.

This is still a work in progress so expect it to change from time to time.

The Warm Gun

The Warm Gun. This is a longish piece about a boy who witnesses a murder and manages to get his hands on the weapon with difficult consequences for everyone. It's the current draft, I scanned it back in and mereged it with an earlier draft. I think it would be interesting as as film script, assuming you could get the feel right. It came out of being beaten up with a baseball bat, the violent scenes near the beginning did actually happen to me.

The Mystery of the Loop

The Mystery of the Loop. This is an unfinished fantasy piece about shifting identity, which takes the form of a strange dream without dialogue. I couldn't find a way to finish it that didn't resound with cliche. You might find echoes of living away from home in Dublin here.

Revenge on Thanatos

Revenge on Thanatos. Unfinished story about a group of people who take revenge on people who hurt children. I still have the plot outline and may finish it.

System error

System Error. New piece about the world after a nano-tech disaster, not sure where it's going yet.
