This site is designed as a somewhat fragile vehicle for my writing. I have been writing for years and never had anything published outside of writers' groups. I haven't got the energy to tout the stuff around, and I do it mostly for myself.

That said, I would like to share this stuff with the rest of the world (ha ha). So, here is the proposition:
I show some of my work. If you like it you send me an email me@francis-john.freewebspace.com and we can exchange ideas. Be warned that some of the material here contains swearing and some sex (not very much, I prefer to leave things to the reader's imagination).
Who am I?
I write under the name Francis John. I work in Information Technology, designing and building database-based systems. I am also a Level 3 BCU kayak instructor and spend as much time as possible paddling white water. I am not young or old. I have a fantastic wife, 2 children and an elderly cat. I live in the UK, on the other side of the Mersey from Liverpool, where I was brought up, but I wasn't born there.
